Our Animal Welfare Team are focussed on promoting good calf housing design, providing practical advice to improve livestock housing and undertaking research into the positive effects of ventilation and housing design.

At Galebreaker, we use a variety of fabrics, each specially designed to boost livestock health and performance in their own way. Two key considerations when selecting what fabric to use is the level of ventilation and degree of weather protection offered - we can supply either mesh or solid materials depending on which factor is more important for your livestock building.
Other important considerations are wind reduction and light transmission - both of which influence livestock productivity and comfort.
We tested our standard M75 mesh against traditional cladding rivals... as the graphic below demonstrates, overall Galebreaker mesh outperforms its traditional counter-parts, but has the added flexibility of being manufactured into a removeable or rolling system.
